Hi Ladies
Just to let you all know, my portion control kick is now Jenny Craig. I had to try something else. I joined for 6 weeks & if all goes well I will join for more & maintenance.
Anyhow, I wasn't going to say anything to anyone because we all know how negativity can come with any kind of diets.
First off Jenny Craig is a bit expensive. But that's ok. At this point it doesn't matter because it is sooo important for my health to get this weight off.
The reason it is so expensive is YES IT IS REAL FOOD, just all portioned for you. The food is very very good..
Second, you have a one on one consultant You meet with this person every week. You get weighed once a week & measured every month. You plan your on coming week with her & talk about any concerns coming up "Like me going on vacation next week"....
You take a multi vitamin every day. I am on a 1200 calorie plan.
I buy my fruit & Veggies & milk from the grocery store. Everything else I get from Jenny Craig.

My first lost was 3.8 / that was for 4 days.This week I get weighed on Friday again... I still need to exercise, and I portion my fruit out... Just wanted to let everyone know what I am doing right now. I may end up doing WW for maintenance, not sure yet... This program is NOT Diet pills & such. It is all about PORTION, just like WW, Tops, Simply for life etc... Have a great week everyone!!

Hello Ladies
Hi there,
Sorry I skipped last week. I have been so tide up with projects! But I am updating our blog right now :)
Things are going good. Danny & I walk 3 miles every night & I am on a real portion control kick.. Lbs will soon be coming off. I am being patient.. Took my measurments also.
Anyhow some of you have not weighed in for a few weeks.. I HOPE YOU DON'T GIVE UP!!!
Just keep trying, it'll work somewere along the way!!! We are always here.. Post your frustrations or goals or whatever you are feeling... Were all in this together!!!!

Ups and downs
Hi everybody.
Just want you to know that last week ,i had a set back. I weigh myself and had gain 2 pds. It was a disappointment for me because i had done so well before. But at the same time ,it gave me a the will to keep going.
Well to my surprise,this week,i had lost the 2pds. and more. I just want you to know that it can be done. I had been fighting for the past 3 yrs. to lose and i just couldn't and i was getting more and more frustrated .
When Pat started this blog,for some reason i thought i could make it. For me it's working. For the ones that are having a hard times ,don't give up. It's the summer.and it's harder, for some reason to diet.
Please don't give up. I need your support.

HELLO LADIES

OH MY, I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT I DIDN'T WRITE ON THE BLOG SINCE JULY 4th.
I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY WITH ALL KINDS OF PROJECTS & WORKING FOR OUR UNION. THE BLOG JUST SLIPPED MY MIND..
ANYHOW, I HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING WELL & ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL SUNNY WEATHER!!!
DANIEL & I HAVE BEEN WALKING EVERY SINGLE NIGHT OF THE WEEK FOR TWO WEEKS NOW. WE WALK ABOUT 3 TO 3 1/2 MILES. WE ACTUALLY WALK IN THE CEMETERY.
ANYHOW, THIS PAST WEEK I WAS A BIT DISCOURAGED WITH A .2 GAIN. BUT I KNOW WITH WALKING SOMETIMES AT THE BEGINNING IT CAN SLOW THE WEIGHT OF LBS DOWN. SO I DECIDED TO TAKE MY MEASUREMENTS TO.
ALL N ALL I MUST SAY IM NOT DOING TO TO BAD. JUST A REAL SLOW WEIGHT LOSS FOR NOW, BUT IT WILL PICK UP!
PLEASE LADIES DON'T GIVE UP!! JUST KEEP SENDING THOSE WEIGHTS IN WHETHER IT IS A LOSS OR A GAIN..

I MEASURED ALL WEEK, CUT DOWN ON CARBS / TOOK GOOD ADVICE FROM OUR CANADIAN VISIT LAST WEEKEND..
AND I EXERCISED ALL WEEK..
SO LETS SEE WHAT NEXT WEEK BRINGS.. BY THE WAY IM COUNTING CALORIES, NOT POINTS....

WEIGHT LOSS TIPS
EATING & DRINKING TIPS:
Focus on fruits and veggies. The high water and fiber content in many fruits and vegetables make them great candidates for healthy snacking and incorporation into meals. Try adding veggies to your favorite main courses (made from lean meats and whole grains) to make your dish “go” further. In addition, the vitamins and nutrients in fruits and vegetables can help your overall health and vitality.
Eat more protein. Protein keeps you full longer than carbohydrates. It also takes more energy to metabolize protein than carbohydrates, so you burn more calories after eating it.
FILL UP ON FIBER:
Fiber makes you feel fuller faster, so it’s a great idea to choose foods that are packing a good fiber punch. Fiber will also help digestion, allowing you to process what you eat in a healthier way.
CHOOSE LOW DENSITY FOODS:
Foods that allow you to eat larger portion sizes with lower calories are considered low density. These foods (including many fruits and vegetables) tend to contain more water and fiber. Try starting your meal with a low-density salad or soup (just watch the dressings and sodium) to help fill you up, so you will eat less of your entrée.
DRINK LOTS OF WATER:
Not drinking enough water makes your body hold on to the water it has – resulting in extra “water weight”. Thirst can also be confused with hunger, so by drinking water, you may avoid consuming extra calories.

Hello
Hello Ladies,
Sorry I am late on updating the blog. We had company from Canada this past weekend & I am trying to get back with the Program! Great start on Monday. I have been journaling, eating more Protein, and back at the gym!! I have a friend who is starting to join me tomorrow. We'll be going early morning! Also I haved moved my WW day to Thursdays.
Sooooo. Yes it has been a slow process for me with challenging times.. This past week I had a gain, but thats ok.. I am back on track....
Ok Ladies lets get back on track now!! WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER....
JUST KEEP GOING, NO MATTER IF YOU HAD A BAD WEEK OR DAY!!!
