Hello Ladies

Well today is Wednesday!! Sorry I haven't written for a few days. I am having so much problems with my computer. I am about to throw it out the window & get a new one!
So I have been slow on updating the weights this week.

Ok so I skipped getting weighed last week. I had a rough week, so I decided to skip. I am changing my WW day to Thursdays now because I am off of work for the summer. I will still only send my weight in on the blog on Fridays.
This weekend will be challenging for me seeing we are having company from Canada... yeepeee / Yes Claire I am waiting for you! :)
Anyhow I will not stress on dieting. I will go with the flow & try to make better choices..
Some of you are doing very well... KEEP IT UP!!! I will slowly catch up to you :0

Explanation of TOPS

Hi guys
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non profit organization which offers a healthy, caring and supportive approach to weight control at an affordable price. It was started 60 years ago in Milwaukee USA by a lady called Esther Manz who really cared about her well being and especially the well being of her friends basically concentrating on a healthy lifestyle.

Not really like Weight Watchers where they count points where we actually count calories but we do have a food exchange program as well to help out. TOPS is also the only weight loss support group to my knowledge that regularly recognizes the success of their members by holding conventions like area, provincial, state and international recognition days worldwide.

Hi everyone... hope you're having a great week

Sorry Pat but I forgot to email you to let you know how I did this week.. I stayed the same... better than gaining

Well in a week from this Monday coming Laurie and I are on our way to the TOPS convention in Chicago. I think I had told you guys about it - Laurie entered a contest with TOPS and he won 1st place in his division Internationally. Because of this he will be recognized at the convention the week of July 2nd and they paid his trip to the convention. We are so looking forward to this trip and it keeps getting better and better every week. On the 1st night that we're there the contest winners and the field staff (the people in charge) are attending a banquet. At all other IRDs (International Recognition Days) we've been to the banquet is just for the winners not the spouses...well last weekend they called us and this year the spouses are attending as well and the banquet is on a Riverboat Cruise.. was I excited or what - I wanted so much to go - anyway we will give you a rundown of our trip when we return.

There are activities and speakers for the 4 days of the convention and we're looking forward to all of it as it will light something in me again and we will share what we learned with you upon our return.

I want to share this. First off Annmarie you can tell in your face that you have lost weight!!! GREAT JOB!! Keep it up..
She walked for the tree of hope last week and attached a balloon for myself & my cousin Gloria.. That was very nice!!

Hi everybody

Hi there girls.
I don't know if you notice that i was doing not to bad with this weight lost.I want you to know that i am pretty please with myself up to now and hope that i can keep going this way. I'm starting to feel a bit better and reeeealy want to keep going.
Pat had ask me to write to tell what i was doing to keep losing so her it is. Hope i can be of some help.
For me, what's working is that i count my points and just make my menus a day at a time. I try to keep my extra point for the week-en so i can over indulge a little bit and i;m back on track on Mondays. Now if i can start drinking more water and walk, i would be all set. Good weight lost girls. Anne Marie

Good Week



Well, I had a good week this week. I lost 1.6 lbs. which I'm happy with.
Considering we had a pot luck at work yesterday, last weekend we got together with friends for a pretty big supper. But the rest of the week, I actually started to journal again and drinking my water and walking. From past experience, I do know that the water and journalizing really work for me. So why it has taken me so long to put that in my head this time, I just don't know.
I also know from past experience that in order to lose weight, you have to have the mind set. It's a feeling you get, that you know that you are just ready this time and nothing can stop you. I had it 4 years ago when I lost 44 lbs. And quess what!!! I have that mind set again!!!!!! This week, I knew that I really wanted this weight off, and I AM going to do it. So, put on your seat belts ladies!!!! you're in for a real competition!!! Hope you will join me!!!!

Well I may have done well last week but I paid for it this week... I gained 3 1/2 lbs this week but that's okay I started a new week yesterday and I'm determined to not give up now or ever.... anyway every one have a great week
